Sam McCullough
Senior Associate Lawyer
Sam McCullough is a Senior Associate Lawyer of the firm and a member of the Estate Practice Group.
Sam completed a combined degree in Commerce and Law at the University of Tasmania in 2002. He was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2003. Sam joined the firm as an Associate Lawyer in 2006, after practicing as a lawyer in Victoria, and working in the law in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Sam has contributed to the Journal of the Law Society of Tasmania, and has a keen interest in law reform in his area of law. He is a regular presenter to the public and financial advisors on Estate Planning issues and recently presented at a national conference in Queensland to a specialist group of estate planning lawyers. He is a member of the Law Society of Tasmania, Elder Law and Succession Committee, and a director of a leading Tasmanian charitable organisation.
Sam's Practice is focussed on developing and implementing effective Estate Planning strategies for private clients, and providing high level and practical advice to people involved in estate disputes: this includes executors, beneficiaries, and potential beneficiaries seeking a share of an estate. Sam has developed the firm's services to clients planning for the future of family members with disabilities, and has an increasing focus on assisting those in the Tasmanian rural sector with farm succession and related issues.s
Outside the office, Sam enjoys working with his wife to renovate their home in Hobart, and also sailing, camping trips around Tasmania and travel when he has the opportunity.
Sam was recently appointed as a Senior Associate of the firm in recognition of his growth and specialisation as a practitioner in the Estate Practice Group.
